APPLICATION
Cuts bands that for some reason
need to be removed from birds. Suitable for cutting bands with a diameter from
1.8 to 20.0 mm in aluminum, and 1.8 to 3.4 mm in stainless steel.
FORMAT
The lever system was developed to
minimize the force exerted to cut the bands. With this lever system, the
cutting of the bands is smoother, causing less risk of hurting the bird.
SHARPENING
Cuts an
average of 150 aluminum bands and 50 stainless steel bands, after which it
needs to be sharpened.
MATERIAL
Carbon steel,
plastic coated grip. Widely used by VETERINARIANS to remove bands from birds
that have suffered an injury causing swelling of the tarsus. After the band is
cut, it is deformed and cannot be reused.
